Just sold my first print (NOT stock!!!)

So I just wanted to share my best news for quite a while - I decided to quit Shutterstock and actually try and sell my prints for a decent fee. Well, I submited 2 pieces for an exhibition today, and before they even went on display, one guy who works at the gallery said he wanted it!!!! So this has really made my day!!!!! Wahoo! Even after the 20% cut the gallery takes, I've earnt probably 50X more today caompared to what I've sold at shutterstock over the past 6 months!

Sure, it was a 11x14, framed (frame cost ~$25) and it was sold for $95. After commission and fees I will get $26 (cost $25 to enter). Still, even with loosing most of the money to the gallery I'm over the moon!

Excuses, excuses. Michaels' has a sale, 50% off frames, many of which come with mats. All you have to do it swing by Ithaca Photo (or wherever) before work tomorrow! :-P

No:
-$25 to enter exhibition
-$19 20% commission
-$25 for frame
= $26 left over
But I'm still not worried, its the fact that I sold one, and that someone who didn't have to like it (because they're not family etc), did like it.
