There once was a man with a hat
Who played his harmonica and sat
He blew the wrong chord
and went stiff as a board
And now he's used as a mat. |

So you've assumed an alter ego now? Dr. Seuess?

Ok Rikki, here is what I have.
Dreaming of Yesterday
He wears pain and affliction on his face,
Like an old companion's affection misplaced.
The scars of hopes and dreams of yesterdays
Are brought to life in the music he plays.
He looks through you with stoic eyes,
A far off stare, a passioinate compromise.
Regret is stirring with self-condemnation,
No self respect lives with alienation.
Life's ambition has all but withered away,
Leaving him "Dreaming of Yesterday.

This picture means a lot to me, and, if you want to, I'd appreciate a poem for it:
These two are long-time friends, they both participate in the Senior's Dance on Saturday afternoons in my town. I love to watch the joy and the energy of the seniors at these dances.

Here's one of happy newlyweds in Las Vegas
I don't know them nor the photographer, I simply lent them my spot in exchange for some shots of them being shot:

"Where Mist and Majesty Meet"
As the mist rises across the barren land,
A distant sillouette of hope stands.
Resting this peaceful morning,
For night will beckon a quiet warning.
Under a blanket of clouds the tower sleeps,
Overlooking the earth it guards and keeps.
Serenity has no retreat,
Where mist and majesty meet.

"A Forgotten Friend"
I long for the time of crumpets and tea.
The way her arms cradled me.
To hear her voice, a sweet lullaby.
To ease her pain, when she would cry.
During naptime she would rest,
I snuggled close by, she liked that best.
I remember the park, and joyful strolls.
But age and maturity took its toll.
Times of fun and play came to an end.
And I have become...a forgotten friend.

You know Jeff, your not going to be able to sleep tonight. Your mind is just going to keep spinning with rhymes and rhythm now that you have started. If you do make it to sleep, you're just going to dream it.
