Has anyone had much experience with printing on metallic paper? I have heard about it but never used it. Can anyone tell me the pros/cons of using this type of paper?
Thanks

Yeah I tried this once before from Mpix.com They have metallic paper and the results were nice but not something I would do all the time. Maybe artistic images or that kinda thing but not for my regular shots.
The sheen and finish is something that I don't personally like. I always opt for the matte satin finish in my prints. |

I've got 2 40-50's on the wall behind me done on the metallic paper with a high gloss laminate mounted on 3/4 inch gator board. They look great for landscapes.

I tried the metallic option form MPIX and the shots I did look great.
if you have some shots like fall colors type of shots they should look real nice with the metallic option. Not for every pic you have, but a few that you want a different look give it a try
