All-
I took this picture this past weekend in Central Park (NYC)...there is something about it that I just don't love, but I can't put my finger on it...this is the original file, so no color adjustments have been made yet...what do you guys think?

Well, I think your natural framing job is a little too cluttered. I think the abundance of tree branches on the foreground trees blocks what you are trying to capture in the background. The background is very beautiful and I think it gets lost in the tree branches and leaves. Another thing maybe is the moss on the surface of the water, but that's not your fault. Anyway, that's my opinion for what it's worth. Sorry to sound so negative. It's really not that bad of a shot. The more I look at it, the more I like it. |

No!! I asked for feedback - negative or positive!!
Thanks for responding! Do you think if I cropped the photo it would be better? maybe cut the tree out of the left side of the picture or you think all the leaves are too much?
Thanks again! (it's the only way I'll get better!)

I think it's a very naturally beautiful picture, but the color of the moss on the water is inconsistent with the rest of the colors. Looks a bit chemical, if you catch my drift. Try adjusting the color of the moss in PS. |

move the bridge to position where you can see it, crop or zoom the trees out to the sides to frame it better, and clean the pond (hehe) and you've got some good stuff here.
