just wondering how the remote works for the nikon d70s like do you have to go buy one and are there different models and how much are they? thanks |

You do have to by separate from the camera. I think there is only one model...and I'm not sure of the cost. |

Yes, you go buy one. Nikon makes one, but it's just an IR remote, so you can program any "learning" remote to do it. Several people are selling small key-chain type remotes on eBay which are just learning remotes that they have programed with the Nikon button. I got an official Nikon one for about $25 (shipping included) off eBay. |

I got the one model that I know of and like it....it was pretty cheap if I remember correctly (like 15 bucks).

I bought one, too. It works nicely at short distances, but it only has a range of a few feet. I find that it's very handy for long exposure shots on a tripod, where I don't want to jiggle the camera while firing the shot.
