Pig nuts....my father told me they were meatballs. I guess in a way they were. HA!
(typed big nuts instead of pig nuts)...that's funny!

I know it is commonplace, but I am going to chime in with liver. LIVER! it is a filter, and what is left in that thing is meant to be refuse. BLAH!!! Not to mention it tastes so freaking gross. I will never know why it is acceptable in our society to eat liver. I imagine brain would taste much better.

spinach from a can. There is nothing grosser than slimy soggy warm leaves. Unless you add vinegar to it. That is infinitely worse. I can eat it raw if its fresh and I can eat fresh spinach sauteed in garlic and butter. But never, ever will I again eat canned spinach. Just the thought makes me gag.
Octopus tentacles not well cleaned are definitely a close second.
Asparagus from a can third.

Baloot in the Phillipines. (Baalut, Baluge, or Balute)
Half-hatched chicken egg. A fifteen or sixteen day old fertilized chicken egg, complete with partially formed feathers, feet, eyeballs, and blood vessels showing through the translucent skin of the chick.

I've had this meal in Brazil called "fejuada" and it's beans combined with all the parts of the pig that are left over from the butchers. GROOOSSS |

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I craved Noxzema. I would sit and inhale it endlessly and convince myself with all of my might not to eat it. Came close, which I guess doesn't count. I think that's called PICA. Anyway, that would have topped my list. |

We used to have kidney stew for breakfast. It was literally black, had chunks of beef kidneys in it, and we poured it over a fried egg on top of a piece of toast. It is actually pretty good.
The thing I think is the grossest though is raw sea urchin. Had it at a sushi bar and nearly made me sick. UGH!
EDIT: Then again, we used to eat fried squirrel with buttermilk gravy for breakfast too... Not bad except when you bite down on a piece of gunshot.

Man I'm going to have to ignore this thread...my stomach is just rolling now.
I avoid gross stuff as a general rule. I can't even deal with the malt vinegar sauce at Long John Silver's. I think I would just die if presented with any of the items in this thread so far! LOL :) |

Cow stomach soup In Mexico as some little road side stand. Looking for a taco stand, but couldn't find one. So we decided to try the stuff that looked like chicken soup. I knew it wasn't going to end well when we walked up and the guy beind the counter and his customers started chuckling at us.
