Hi just wondering if someone could advise me on what to do.
I have a d50 and im used to prosumer cameras so im adjusting to the SLR world.
I enjoy macro photography, predominitely insects.i currently have two lenses the standard 18mm-55mm and the 55m to 200m.
I use a close up lens filter for my macros but i have noticed much closer shots of insects that i just cant obtain?
Is there a specific lens that i need for this? and are they expensive?
thanks |

I've been looking at macro lenses for my next purchase, one a lot of people seem to rave about is the SIGMA 105 EX
I dont think its really cheap, but the results speak for themselves! If you check out the Macro forum on Fred Miranda there will lots of examples of this and other lenses, might help you make an informed choice.
Good luck dood!

Read the Macro photography mentorship thread. I put a big list of pros and cons between the different lenses and adapters for macro photography. (I would add a link but I don't know how) |
