There's another thread for online tutorials., but I'm after something I can stick on my laptop & use without an Internet connection.
I've stopped driving to work, and now take a 45 minute train ride each way and would like to use that time to learn some more Photoshop. Version 7 in particular.
Anybody know of something, say, a PDF or DOC file kinda thing. I'd like to avoid downloading a website. Free or paid doesn't matter to me.

perhaps but I'm not sure. I don't actually know where to get legit. software and from my understanding piracy or links to pirate sites are against the ToS.

| Check out Russell Brown's tech tips. I think all of them are available as downloadable qt movies. |

Thanks. I'd prefer to use some sort of reading material, though. I don't like videos. :-(

Note: some of RB's tutorials are available as pdfs I think. |

Have you looked into the Photoshop 7 Bible? It is a pretty thick book but it has everything you'll ever want to know about PS7, mind you you'll need an assistant just to carry it LOL.

Photoshop for Dummies,
Photoshop The Art of Photographing Women and
Photoshop for Right-Brainers.
These have made a world of difference in my processing skills. |

I've read a lot of PS books. I recommend the photoshop book for digital photographers. it's very well written and very easy going (ideal for train rides). the author is scott kelby. you can find the CS and CS2 versions also. I bought mine at amazon for $24.95

Try having a look here:
www.dcmag.co.uk
They put on tutorials that were in the magazines, so you can download a folder with examples to work on. I find some really helpful.

Can't you just save the webpages that you want to read?
File.
Save Web Page As......
To your hard drive.
