I have only met puzzled and for now, that is enough :)
Seriously, she is great fun to be with and we had a great time with our model, the wonderful five year old Rebekka, also known as my granddaughter.
We have plans to meet again, that's for sure, it was fun and an inspiration.
We also compete through WPL and have a habit of staying pretty close to each other on the Personal Improvement list. I won in WPL1, we'll have to see how we do now during WPL2

FUNNY how close "Report post" is to "quote"! ;-)

You are kicking my a$$ in personal photographer improvement, G, but I just might catch up with you at some point.

Once I tried to meet some folks for lunch but was stood up. Another time there was a GTG a couple hundred miles away but I guess they gave me bad directions as I found no one there. Then there was the time that my friend took me on a shoot in the country and forgot I was with her and went home without me. I find it more relaxing to just talk to the dogs. They like everything I photograph.....I think.

This pattern may have something to do with your appearance, David.

Being kind of semi-isolated, on purpose, I've only met Sammie (my new Cornish Cousin our ancestors are from Redruth, Cornwall) & her husband Jack (Jackson) and was picked out in the crowd at the Colo. State fair by M.O.C. (the Lightning King). I keep seeing Maceo at Taco Bell/Subway, but not in the field yet. But hope to do a Colorado GTG one of these days.

I've shot with Frank (caba a few times) - til he started winning ribbons. Now he never calls. ;-) I've also met Karin (Beetle) and her husband Paul.

This was Beetle's reaction to seeing me in person for the first time:

I also met DrAchoo and Rikki (with Beetle and Caba) here in Seattle this past April.

In San Francisco we keep in touch pretty well with GTGs. It's been really helpful to have a local Yahoo Group to which we all subscribe, set up by Mycellium. Nice Job, Damon.

I've been on several GTGs. One in So. Cal. in Spring, 2005, so I'll start with that one:
That would be (not including friends) ddyjr, kirbic, yedo, sandman, mirdonamy, ram21, brianlh & qmdi. That was when we had that banner year in wildflowers and the California Poppies were fabulous.

Then, getting local, we met at Mt. Diablo in the east bay. We never got together for a group shot, so my only DPC pic from this shoot is sonda

Then came the Academy of Sciences to visit Chocolate. Once again, no group shot, but I do remember Faidoi, who set up the GTG, BrennanOB and GeneralE with Isaac & friend.
Next was the Red Bull Air Show during Fleet Week. Well, it was supposed to be a GTG, but this participant never saw anybody she knew. Made (temporary) friends with a Bigma owner one tripod over in the crowded terrain, but nope, no DPCers for me!
But then came Chinatown New Year Celebrations.

Jenny, KMiller88, Rikki, Floydrowe's hand, mycellium, SFAlice, Brennan OB, Gary Chu, Meera, Macpapas, PhilipDyer
Now, that was a celebration to remember. We had a great day, capped off with a nice Chinese dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Then we come to the just completed GTG, in July 2006, the Berkeley Kite Festival. And yes, some of us undoubtedly still have sunburned noses to commemorate the occasion. Fortunately, they don't show in this photograph, taken by MacPapas wife, Karen.

Gaurawa, SFAlice, jdannels, macpapas, brennanOB, faidoi, PhilipDyer & Jessica, General E & Isaac.

Yes, DPC is a lot of fun on lots of levels.

Now, if we could just invent a badge, cap, or other design so we can FIND each other on these occasions, well, that would be the frosting on the cake.
