that EXACTLY what i'm feeling right now!!! and it SUCKS!

i took my kids to florida last week to visit my parents in st augustine, and we had a blast. i also managed to g2g with a few other dpc'ers (see this thread), as well as shoot about 1600+ images.

and i unloaded them onto my mom's harddrive, and just before leaving, i burned a DVD...that won't open on my pc!!!! so now i have to walk my mom and dad through trying to burn a set of CDs, and i'll have to wait to get them. lord knows how long this is going to take...oh well, at least i know what i have to look forward to...

Have you tried anyone else's pc? If they can read it, you might be able to make a copy you can read.

Heck, you could buy a dozen DVD drives for less than what it used to cost to have 1600 film images processed. :)

nah...i used my external dvd burner, and unfortunately used the software on my mom's machine rather than installing the software that came with the burner. haven't had much luck tracking down the software she has (yet), but still might give that a go.[/quote]

That's our nsbca7. Why bother with the cheap solution when you can spend a thousand bucks or more?

Skip I see a lot of users take a LOT of pictures. 1600+? I purchased my 350XT the 1st of April and I just took my 1992nd picture according to my CF Card. I have my camera set to continues files numbers. And I have never reset it. I guess that's how you know how many pictures have been taken.
