Take something that you find to be inherently UGLY and turn it into a piece of art through your photography. I'm talking literally butt ugly(no butts though please or other specific body parts). Voters should put as much weight on the repulsiveness of the subject matter as he/she would on the composition, lighting, framing, etc. |

sounds interesting...i can already see me taking a photo of cigarette butts floating in a bucket at the rear of some office building...now that an UGLY image! |

We already had a garbage challenge. Kind of the same thing. And REALLY hard to vote on.

Now that sounds like a challenge! Not that the pictures would be pretty to look at... but at least it would really make us think. AND we wouldn't (or shouldn't) have flowers, pets, etc. :) |

No, I just did an image search for "Shar-pei" and this was the first photo I tried to link to, and it worked. I was just being contrary, trying to demonstrate that there is no challenge topic used or yet devised which will exclude pet photos... |

yes you are right there and I can even think of a photo of a child with a black eye or a skinned up knee for ugliness...lol and why not a rose that is being eatten by beatles...thats ugly too...

Wow, that puppy is so ugly he's cute! LOL I stand corrected on the no flowers no pets comment. |
