Mine's actually gone up by .3 in the last 24 hours. Seems like a love it or hate it kind of shot... 8 out of the comments tell me the pic is great but my score is below 4.5. |

| My first challenge and I'm at 4.07. So, I feel pretty good about that since I joined this site to learn. What is disappointing is how many people have voted on my photo (180) and only 4 comments. I want to know what you liked or didn't like about it. Just be sweet about it, okay! :^) And yes, I am already addicted! |

I'm not even feeling like voting on this as I am being Hammered so badly.
I just renewed my membership, and I think I am getting my worst score ever.
I thing a lot of people need to calibrate their monitors!

| I have fallen sharply in recent hours too. I was feeling good at first. I think it is not the photo but the interpertation of the challenge. I might have stretched it a bit. |

This is one of my lowest scores ever in over the 100 + challenges entetered if its stays this way, I am really disappointed with scores in general lately, not just my scores but everyones, I know this type of comment is getting old, but what a shame that so many great shots barely get a 6 when they hit the top ranks. Opinions differ in what people like, but I feel there are a lot of bitter people that score low just for spite or to make there shot place higher. Maybe time to take a break from challenges and just keep shooting what I want. --- ugh --

I find it a bit disconcerting that for a large number of the top photos, there are votes of 1 or 2 or even 3 on their log. I cant understand these low scores, just the fact that the shot is exposed well and sharp or just basics should get credit for a 4 at least even if the voter doesnt particularly like the shot themselves or they may not feel it meets the challenge. Take a look at someof the recent top three shots and see what I mean.

I believe the votes have already stabilized. So our scores shouldn't changed more than a few hundredths. Amazing how fast this challenege stabilized. |

I keep trying to take a break, but I keep shooting for these challenges. I must be in need of a nice quiet year at the home for the insane. As to scoring, the scores I give out average out nearly two points higher than the scores I receive. I think we should all just turn off the scoring average until the challenge is ended.

I've noticed the same thing. I don't know why 1's or 2's are given on some of those great shots. I think it is just sour grapes. There could be a few folks that just give 1's and 2's and that is all they give.

Is it just me?
Or are there in inordinate number of challenge entries that have nothing to do with the challenge subject?
I've run into 5 during voting tonight that I'm just not getting. Maybe I'm slow?? |

Well, I did think of 2 things with my current score....either people don't understand it or they just don't have a sense of humour! But, then I thought, maybe my photo is just crap! :p
Maybe the latter me thinks! |

Well, to be honest, I'm not really suggesting the ones I'm commenting about are "crap", they just don't seem to fit the challenge.
Maybe this is just a hard challenge for people. I know I didn't enter it because I couldn't find something that struck me as fitting. |

As ladymonarda says, must be some sour people. I think my entry fits in the challenge, but I'm sure it's getting several 1 and 2's, and I don't know why.
Maybe they can put some kind of lock when you vote, so if you want to give a 1 or 2 score, the comment must be obligatory.
BTW My photo has a score of 5.08, i just hope doesn't goes below 5.

maybe its the interpretation of the challenge,the voting on a particular image is judged by the individual against the context in which they looked on the challenge theme in the first place.

I just had a look through it and it really seems there wasn't much effort put into most images in this challenge. And i've never seen so many off topic photos in one challenge either. I'm pretty disappointed overall.
