That someone would do that is disgusting! I'm here to learn, have some fun and to get and give some good honest feedback. I hope the powers will address that issue in an appropriate fashion.

Maybe it was re-shot? If obviously not re-shot, I say dig out your email and post 'er up!

A reshoot perhaps?

I am getting a pretty low score. I hope it is because it doesnt exactly fit the challenge and not the quality of the photo. Well it is my first try at is. I am here to learn.

This was a tough challenge to judge. I usually start at a 5 and add points for nailing the topic (or subtract them for missing it), then I go to the technical aspects of it. Other comments said there were some outstanding pictures, but I only found a couple that were really, really good. Perhaps when I go through and re-judge......

Hello all! Only my second challenge and I felt confident about this one but I'm not doing very well score wise. My own preference is not to do a lot of post editing, partly because I like the look, partly because I'm poor and haven't bought the software yet, ha! Anyways, my scores seem to suffer because of that...I appreciate the suggestions and advice, I'm learning a lot on the technical side, but do the majority of people on the site do a lot of post editing on their pictures? And do people tend to give lower scores to those who don't? Simply curious! I stumbled across this site and am addicted...it's wonderful to find people who are serious about photography and are open to constructive criticism!

I doled out quite a few 5's and some 4's myself. This is just more of the same in my opinion and most aren't that good. I wish they'd have some out of the box challenges. I still like one that was suggested in another thread: compound words!! That might be a fun one.

I'm holding around 5.3 - 5.4 with mine.

Good luck to those who had some good ones - there were a few!!

Not unless they managed to get the same people together, and get exactly the same pose etc...it'd be impossible!

I'm holding at 5.0 my best so far but all day today it was up and down driving me nuts. Plus, not a single comment I'd love someone to at least tell me if they like it / hate it!

As far as the voting goes, my average is going to take a hit. I'm not trying to start a flame war here but I'd say almost half didn't read the challenge rules or just figured, "I'll do what I want and call it thinking outside of the box." JMHO.

I tell you what! After voting on this challenge I really hope the next challenge isn't on cars!

Im really happy with my affluence shot.
I really wanted to split the voters, in the same way I felt my photos does people. I get great vote, bad vote, great vote, bad vote :) really cool I was able to pull people into the image's meaning without them realizing.

The GIMP is free and does just about everything you'll need, at least I am very happy with it. The only thing it doesn't have that is commonly used under basic editing rules is the "Neat Image" filter.

That's a great outlook on this challenge, I think I'm going to print out your quote and tape it to my monitor while voting. ;-)

Huh? It just seemed like people here were posting low scores in this thread. How does that have any significance?

It was meant serve as a statement saying I was not sure if the low scores were warranted since I had not seen the entries yet. Somebody is a little sensitive it seems! Must be another low scorer! :)

Sorry Jay, I miss-quoted you in that post.

Hmmm....I'm sure in the last 10 minutes 2 people have given me a score of 1! I've just dropped dramatically! Grrrr.....
