i like it. the moody quality is appealing to me.

Beautiful shot! I think it would've scored in the low to mid 6's. I specially like how there is no clear definition in the 3 shots. It compliments the flowing lines of the guitar.

Great work. I love how all three shots flow into the darkness. The first two shots are especially impressive to me. The lighting seems perfect on all three. I'd have probably given it a 9.

I love the individual shots. I think I would have liked the composite better (I DO like it by the way) if they were all cropped to the same size vertically. the profile is longer than the other two (maybe intentionally), and it throws the balance off in my mind. I like that they don't touch the border, but I like uniformity if it belongs...in this case it does to me.
just my opinion...beautiful shots either way.

This is better than most in the competition. I would have scored it an 8 or 9 depending on my mood.

I think It would have taken a ribbon, I gave it a 10 on the canon a70 site, and was surprised it didn't win, it is just so striking and well put together.

Wow, what a beautiful layout. This photo is very clean, and well shot. I can't say what to do to improve it so I would have given it at least a 9 (that is, if I could actually vote in member challenges)

Thanks for the comments, actually this is my first serious attempt in a 'studio' style shot. I went out to get some black fabric and waited till night fall so to eliminate most of the reflections.

Love the centre image - reminiscent of those Picasso line drawings. I'd have liked to see a frame to separate the images, to reinforce the trypych idea, but other than that ...

My other gripe would be a lack of process: it's just three (albeit very good) pictures of a guitar. But few people really managed to do that anyhow.
