I understand that people are ancious to show what they are working on, but, in order to keep the voting objective, I don't think it's a good idea to show pictures or links to pictures that are related to the challenges that are not finished yet.
If you want to show pictures that didn't make it, you should show them after the voting has ended.

Some of those were pretty cool. A thought that occurred to me earlier today - if we do a really good job, and stop the motion so there is no motion trails - how can we tell it was in motion in the first place ? :)

I tried the fan thing...and my camera just made it look like I was taking a picture of the fan turned off. So of course that's a no goer! I've been pondering on this the past few days. I'm not entirely satisfied with my submission, so I think tomorrow I'm gonna see what I can do to better it. Oh this challenge is a tough one!

basically, i've decided that unless it's mid air or in some way defying gravity, there's no difference between a still version and a stopped-motion version! So those are the kinds of things I've been focussing on. literally as well as figuratively ;P

It has to be obvious :)

I'm just hoping that some people won't think some of the shots were rigged to get such a clear photo. My stop action photo turned out to be sharper than many of my still photos. I am finding out how to use more and more features on my camera than I would have without these challenges. Thanks to Drew and Langdon for the motivation to try different types of photos.

If your photo is perfectly stopped, I would say that it meets the challenge... It's not too difficult to tell if these photos are setup or not...

I'm curious, the contest says 'your subject' has to be stopped. What if the background is not stopped? The picture will certianly have motion trails. Not that I have anything like that in mind... :)

This challenge is hard, especually for someone new, but, i think i did a good job with my submission, maybe not as good as jmsetzler's ones that didn't make the cut.

I don't think this is a problem. The photos I posted that got cut are in no way related to the photo I'm using...

I agree with Remie your "cut" might be an idea that someone else used. Lets keep the creativity flowing. We can all share the ones that didn't make the cut after final submissions.:)

The shots that didn't make the cut.

Picture 2

It would be fun to see your shots that didn't make the cut.
