Inspired by this thread - this gives exposure to a broad variety of images. I know there are some random features in the Photos section, but the home page has room and it's where people spend the most time I believe.
Could also be a preference option: Display or not and/or how many.

Those photos don't look too random though buddy.. seeing as they're both YOURS ;)

If there was on on/off option, I don't see how it would be a problem for those that like it the way it is. But I most definatly would have mine ON!

I dont see anything wrong with the homepage.... the area on the left is for announcements and polls..the people who win 1, 2, and 3rd get their pics on the homepage...thats how i feel it should stay... its an honor to win, and have your picture on the homepage... and in MY opinion it would take away some of that

| may be not so random, but the latest uploads to the site. That way porfolio pics also get a chance to be looked at without posting them in any thread. |

| Only problem would be the server overhead when there is a lot of traffic. It would have to be cashed in some way. |

On/off option in preferences. If you don't want to see the random section, turn it off. If you're bored with just the same six pictures on the site for the week, turn it on.
