Thanks guys. I was going for a more, "all together now" thing, buy this way may be interesting too. I'll try it. Notice how I wrote TRY, that doesn't mean I'll be able to do it...

I've noticed after I'm done voting, I pretty much have a bell curve. I give out a few 9's and 1's, a few more 8's and 2's, then quite a few 3's and 7's and so on so forth. I also after all 1 challenge that I have entered, realized that I got pretty much the same thing back, finishing a smidge under 5. I don't have a system of voting, I just give it what the gut tells me. My comments are sporatic. I might give 20 in a row a comment, and then not give many for awhile, saving them for the really good or really bad ones. I don't put things relative to the picture i submit (all 1 of them, 2 counting the NS challenge) or everyone would just get good score from me. My voting avg is only about 4.6, and that's about right for a scale of 1-9. I've only given one "10" in 3 votes, 4 counting this one. It all works out in the end. I hope I finish at 4.6 this time. It ain't lookin' too good. Thanks for listening

Inspzil,
My voting looks like a bell curve also for the most part...
Just out of curiosity, what is your theory behind only giving a vote of 10 to a photograph? I'm just curious :)

It would be great if we could see what people voted on our photos. Maybe it would keep people from voting so low. |

The shot really just floored me. It was well taken, creative. It really blew me away. Pretty much the same as "Liberty and Justice." Ever seen that one? That is just so remarkable. I hear it won a challenge, long before I ever got to vote on it. You should check it out sometime. hahahahahahahahahaha!

I think that might create some animosity and maybe some rivalry. In a few cases it might be better, but I think in most it would be much worse. Not knowing the photographers keeps things more objective. We can't keep things smooth in the forums, imagine the uproar if people got nasty about who gave them a 2 for a really great shot. I've gotten them on every vote (all 1 of them) and I know I might hold it against someone if given the chance.
