hijacking this, I also wanna thank for mine:
It was placed at the 71st position, but it's also the highest ratet photo for my camera model. From the 15 highest ranked images for sony W1, 6 are mine!
thx for the great comments and all!

Carrieanne - Congratulations! That was some heavy competition. I left some comments on the photo as well.

I'll start my own thread to thank everyone for my finish. :)

I also would like to thank everyone for the great comments and votes, and my 8th place finish, I am so happy with this I am beaming from ear to ear and probably will for the remainder of the week LOL. Also, I had more comments on a challenge photo than I've ever had, and loved and appreciated every one of them! Thanx! :-)

Carrieanne - great job. Although I did not comment on yours during voting I did give it a 7. Very beautiful model, lighting compliments the scene although a bit harsh on the left side, just the right amount of modesty with the sheet while maintaining a sexy appeal. And it beat my Hummingbird out by one place! But who could blame people for that. Sure wish I could do portraiture like some I see here.

I also thought that having the eyes closed would be more intimate, however, I received several comments that I should had the eyes open in the pic.

My personal opinion..... Do what YOU want. I like it the way it is, some like it with the eyes open, but as long as you like it what does it matter?

Well my outtakes had eyes open... I like the closed better so that's why I submitted it. I just think it's funny how opinions vary across the board. If eyes were open then it would have set a different tone for the photo.

Gordan,

it is better to start another thread under "Individual Photo Discussion" than use the existing one. Also, you need to use the [ url]...[/url] codes to make a link to another web page. (Click on the globe icon when posting a message).

Carrieanne,

congrats on the 24th place. Out of ~500 submissions, esp. in a free study challenge, this is as good as top 10.

ps. I like the eyes closed. (not always, but in this situation definitively. IMO they convey emotions better than the straight look into the camera or elsewhere)
