This ought to be good. Our international friends can show us just how good we have it with our $2+ gas.

Not so much the absolute price, the relative price - it is not $2.15 here - it was $1.89 less than 3 weeks ago. that is 26 cents or almost 15% jump! it is also an all time record high price.

Given that the "Location" field on the photo page says "somewhere in Texas," I'll go out on a limb and guess it was taken somewhere in Texas. The date listed is also 11 April 2003.

It`s 82.5 cents a liter here in Ottawa today times it by four to get a gallon! |

Actually, since I assume that's Canadian dollars, multiply by about 3.1 to get the price in US dollars per gallon. That comes out to about $2.56 USD.

Thanks for the correction Terry I knew that an Imperial Gallon was larger than an US gallon but not by how much and the exchange is probably 1=0.82 ! That makes me feel better! LOL

A little known feature of Google is Google calculator, which among other things has the ability to do unit of measure conversions. For example, typing "1 US gallon in liters" in a Google search box returns this.

you lucky people.. here in Iceland we have to pay $1.78 for 1L, that is $6.73 for 1 gallon.. if the price was close to $1 for a gallon here then everyone would be driving 12cyl cars ;) |

I've seen this elsewhere on the net but had some fun with the idea none the less. Hats off to whoever thought of it first! |
