I was wondering if any one from the New York City area could possibly take a picture of my KPOTD(Kodak Picture of the day)at Times square at the kodak marquee March 20th? It is a Sunday. I would have loved to do it my self but it is a few thousand miles and a few thousand dollars out of my price range.
Here is my picture.
Cheers

If I were you, I'd come back and bump this thread in about five hours time at least: at 3:45 a.m. in NYC you're going to be lucky to get a response right now. Mind you, New Yorkers ...

Congrats on your Kodak POTD! We hadn't had a vacation for a long time, so when my first one was selected for Oct., we drove there (from IL). Unbelievable!
But what I want to tell you is to get on the webcam that focuses on the Kodak marquee. If you're lucky you may be able to get a glimpse of your photo being displayed (the screen constantly changes, but yours is the only POTD). I was able to do that with a photo I had selected in Dec.
Again, congrats! It's an awesome honor. |

I'll try. Where is the Kodak Marquee? More specifics? |

Yes be more specific? Its so easy to miss something in Timessquare, there could be a movie being filmed and you wouldnt even know it. |

the kodak billboard is at the marriott marquee. it's about a block north of toys'r'us. it's on the same side of the street as reuter's (and about 2 blocks up from there).
congrats, skakey! great photo. too bad you couldn't see it in person--that is a real blast! |

just in case tim still needs help, here's a map
this really is a cool thing. their billboard features a slideshow with about 15 images that show for 3-4 seconds, then it segues into the picture of the day. all in all, you only have to be there for about 10 minutes.
these are from mine ;-)

Here they are. It's miserable and a bit dark out so I did my best not to get my lens wet and still make sure I got the shot.
