My apologies in advance to the Eagles.
DP Challenge Website (to the tune of Hotel California)
ON a dark rainy Sunday
Computer screen turned on
Searching for a hobby
My photo skills to hone
Suddenly there on my screen
I saw a potential site
My head grew heavy, and my sight grew dim,
I had to check it that night.
There I stared at the home page
A story to tell
And I was thinking to myself,
This could be Heaven or this could be Hell
Then I submitted a picture
And I learned the way
I heard the voices in the forums
And I thought I heard them say
Welcome to the DP Challenge Website
Such a lovely place, (such a lovely place)
Such a quick fast pace
Plenty of room here at the DP Challenge Website
Any time of night,
You can find a fight.
Drew and Langdon started this
With a few friends of their own
They had lots fo pretty pics
But it has quickly grown
Now we enter our pictures
New friends we have met
Some shoot to remember
Some shoot to forget
So I called up the admins
"Thank you for this find"
He said
"We haven't had that spirit here since Challenge #9."
And still those voices are calling from far away
Wake up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say
Welcome to the DP Challenge Website
Such a lovely place, (such a lovely place)
Such a quick fast pace
We're living it up here at the DP Challenge Website
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise)
When you break five.
Now we judge many pictures
Some ugly, some are nice
And the regulars say
We are all just prisoners here
Of our own device
An in the chatroom on Sunday
We gather for the feast
They talk and laugh and say "nice" things
But we can't escape the beast
Last thing I remember
I was running for the door
I had to find my life, like it was before
Relax said the forums
We are programmed to come and see
We can log out any time we want
But we can never leave!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is great, I can never stop playing producers though. You could use, "we are just prisoners here, of our digital vice"

A long, long, time ago
I can still remember
When photography used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I'd come here and post some rants
And maybe take some pictures for a while
But Drew and Langdon made me shiver
With each new challenge they'd deliver
Comments causing friction,
Can't fight the addiction.
I can't remember if I cried
When my photo got disqualified
But something touched me deep inside
The day my camera died
So bye-bye to all my free time,
Now I'm always taking pictures
But if not I'm online
Every week I try to keep hope alive,
Saying "is this photo gonna beat five,"
"This week am I gonna break five?"
(Someday I gotta write the rest of this).

That's great! There's more than one other DPC member (besides me) with music production experience if you want a audio version...

Even my husband, who thinks I'm far too addicted, has been asking me about my score every day lately, and had to see the song! We were both cracking up!

Sorry George... here it comes....
On the day i was born....
the nurses all gathered round...
to gaze at the wide aperture...
and that constant clicking sound...
the head nurse spoke up...
she said leave this one alone...
she could tell right away...
that my camera was on....

m-m-m-m-m-my camera was on....
my camera was on....
my camera was on....
I shot a thousand rolls...
before i got thru....
and i'll shoot a thousand more...
before i get another blue....
i wanna make pretty pitchers baby...
i wanna win one more time....
gotta have that blue ribbon....
once more or i'll die...
ugh... that sucked... ;)
