Converted with Capture one, desaturated highlight to minimize water reflections, taken hand held in the afternoon. Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

Very pretty shot of a male and female Barrows Goldeneye. These ducks are great for capturing the light in their eye as you have done here. Looks a little over cleaned as the water has that smooth gel look to it. Still very nice.

Get a circular polarizer filter before taking more water shots. makes a HUGE difference in reducing reflections.
Composition wise, i'd like to see more room on the right - the ducks are swimming off frame. perhaps show more of their reflections as well.
Seems to be an awfully high shutter speed - try a lower ISO and less shutter (unless maybe you are trying to avoid camera shake...)

Overall it feels a little flat. Was it cloudy? Good sunlight tends to work better, especialy against dark water like this.
