Curious if anyone has any suggestions?

VistaPrint usually has a deal where you can get 250 of one of their prefab full-color designs for about $8 shipping. They are only a little tacky, but very good for starting out on a budget.

If you only need a few and you want them photographic, put three copies on a regular 4x6 print and cut them yourself -- usually less than 30 cents for the three cards that way, no need to commit to a large quantity (or single design) that way either.

//www.overnightprints.com

Great pricing, true 4 color print process, fast service (open 24/7). I got 1000 two-side full color cards, rush printing and shipped for $69.

Uploaded my file on Sunday and got my cards 8 days later.

P.S. They have nice layout templates for almost any layout program.

If you want something a bit higher quality (also read: more expensive), check out 4by6.com. I have their satin business cards and get compliments on the paper quite often.

DC Life Media is a pro shop that has a wonderful product, and their prices are extremely reasonable ($120 for 5000 4/4 aqueous cards).

Well, I'm not about to leave VistaPrint (who also have nice layout templates btw) as I'm more than happy with their service, but hats off to OvernightPrints for getting a sample pack all the way to the UK in next to no time.
