Shot a set yesterday. I've only edited a few from the set. I need to rework the brightness/contrast on a couple towards the end but I gotta get to work.

Thanks for comments/critiques.

Background is dark for what I would expect for a swimsuit shoot. I can see the model's shadow on the backdrop and I can also see the texture of the backdrop. If you have the room move the models away from the backdrop. If not open up the aperture and redirect the lights to loose the shadows. Find a lighter backdrop. We assosiate swimsuits with beaches, pools and sunny skies, not the Rue Morgue.

And you might want to apply a little makeup to the tattoo. Doesn't look professional.

I don't have much to say, other than I agree with nsbca7, however....the models don't really look like they are having fun. They seem a little stiff to me.

This would be my favorite of the bunch

Nice looking models....

I would eliminate this one:

(It looks like she might have fallen and dislocated a hip)

Ok, I really don't mean to offend anybody, and I think those photos are really great, but...

Am I dreaming or is she really really short?
It looks like her body is built a little bit strange, like the upper part of the body (waist -> up) is longer then the lower part.
Usually women, and models especially, have longer legs then uper body...
Donno, looks very weird to me

Your eyes don't deceive you but the lens effect may.

The effect is enhanced by the use of a short focal length lens. I used the Canon EF 17-40 f/4 L because of the small space where the studio resides. I just got my new Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 DF EX something or other lens so I can hopefully get some focal lengths that will be useful in the studio while staying away from the barrel distortion that you noticed in these shots.

With the 17-40 I have to be mindful of the height at which I place the lens when I take a photo to mitigate the effects. If I'm slightly higher than the waistline I makes the torso appear larger; below the waistline makes the legs prominent.

your models need more SMILE. and, in my opinion, those shoes have to go - the barefoot shots are way better, not distracted by the shoes.

Yeah I noticed that to but with both models when they are standing. Might also help to take the shot from lower to improve the distortion.

I really like the 6th one where she has her legs going toward you, this makes them look loong!
