To anyone out there who has this camera... Has anyone found any good telephoto adapters? I've only found two. They are 2x telephoto adapters and they are advertised as in "regular" or "professional" varrieties. I can't for the life of me see the difference between them (except for the price.)

I'm curious to the telephoto capabilities of the s85. I realise it's limited, but I hoping that some people out there had found lens' or scopes to shoot through that could drastically improve the telephoto.

Olympus makes pretty good auxillary teleconverters

I would look for something like an A-200, C-210 or a B-300 (B-300 is veeery expensive and hard to find) which would help you in your woes :)

What size threads does the Sony Adapter use?

I'm not sure what the thread is for the Sony S85. I ended up picking up a 2x Telephoto adapter for the camera - which should arrive this week. It's not as much power as I would like (I think it will boost it from 60mm-120mm to 120-240mm)... but I suppose it's a limitation I have to live with until I can afford to spend a lot more money on a camera.

I bought a cheap ProOptic 2x for my S75 it mounts to the 52mm filter adapter. I'm very unhappy with the image quality but for $50 I guess it would be expected and I'll live with it until I get enough money for a new lens or new camera.
