Hi guys,
i am off to Canada and up in the Rockies in a couple weeks, what tips and techniques could you sugeest for my..Ill be doing a lot of scenery landscape shots and alot of snow around...should i screw on a Polarising filter??
Im using a Fuji S5000 camera.. do you suggest I set it to 6MP SCCD or just std 3.2MP std CCD??

Definately a polarizing filter. A graduated ND may be good as well.
Also, remember that the camera meter tries to render everything a medium tone so if there is a lot of snow you'll have to use exposure compensation anywhere between +1 and +2 stops to get the snow showing white without losing detail.

If you're in Canada, remember to bring some loonies to give out to the locals for being in your photos.

haha yeah i have loonies ready to roll....
I am waiting for my polarising filter to arrive and will play with the exposure comp[...still deciding to run at true 3.2MP or Super CCD 6mp....hmmm

Be prapared for a wide variety of weather conditions. Here in Calgary, a week ago it was 15 degrees, yesterday it was -20, and today it's zero (Celsius).
