I've seen some pretty close up macros, but has anybody ever been this close? It's my monitor at about 35x zoom. If you look at the picture from across the room, you'll notice it's a giant mouse cursor.
Here's the same picture with some digital zoom I estimate that it's been magnified about 280x. This could REALLY help explain how RBG color works.

Cor! That's excellent!
Not keen on the digital zoom, just too blurry but the first one reminds me of school - the teacher took a halftoned picture of an eye from a newspaper photo and blew it up hugely on the photocopier and asked us what it was, and then again from a distance. Something to do with gestalt theory and the eye filling in what isn't there when it has enough to make a pattern with. Mucho cool.
