Just heard a report on CNN about a photographer, Zana Briski's, project that gives children in dangerous areas around the world cameras and teaches them photography and scholarships to go to school. Here is a website I found, some really amazing photos from really young people

I don't know about this. Sounds like a great idea. I always like the idea of teaching children to better themselves. They talk about sending photographers around the wouurld to teach these under privilaged children, but when I went to the volunteer page all they ask for is money. No place to register as an interested photog or donate a camera, just money.

Your right nico_blue some of these photos are really good it's great to see that these kids have been given the oppurtunity! nsbca7, your right that maybe the organisation possibly isn't approaching it in the right way. Have you written or emailed them? It might be worth it. ( just a thought) |
