Finally took a day off.
No agendas, no phones to ring and no cars to fix.
Went to La Jolla (about 15 miles West of me) and basically wandered around, and even got soaked once as a wave hit me from behind - LOL
So much for the Landscapes & such, this coastline is abundant in life:
Was kinda' nice to take a day off, despite hearing the squish, squish, squish noise with every step I took after getting soaked.
:)

Nice shots, Brad. Drove in from East County, eh? El Cajon, perhaps? I'm a San Diego native, moved out here 5 years ago to fulfill a long-time dream. But even so, at this time of year, I look at those shots and think "this could be me."
While you were basking, here's the view across the street from my front steps:

Hi Robert,
Poway actually.
I lived in Ohio, Chicago, Colorado, Montana before and frankly after looking at what you see on you front steps reminds me of why I don't live in those climates anymore.
Yikes!

Fantastic shots. I am envious not only of your photographic skills, but the climate you get to take them in. I would gladly trade you the squish, squish, squish oozing from your boots, for the scraping the ice off of my windshield, slide all over the road, white knuckled driving I have to do here on an almost daily basis. On the good side, we have no flies. |

Beautiful shots, Brad. P1015950 shows an area I have loved since first seeing it in the early 1950s.
Should have bought then...would enjoy living there today if I just has an extra 6-10,000,000 dollars
in my checking account. Would that buy a modest
seaside home there today??
You are doing such great photographs these days that you may have to build onto your shop to house
a professional photographic enterprise. |

Very nice...I was standing right there at picture number 3 two days ago...one of these day we will probably be in the same place at the same time.
Nice shots, some cooperative clouds that are very deep and rich.

Took my kids to San Diego few years ago, they loved it. Their favorite place to visit was Scripps Institute in La Jolla followed by Balboa Park and Sea World. Point Loma was beautiful as well with a spectacular view of the harbor and North Island. Altogether, could not have picked a better place to vacation.

Thanks!
There is just something about taking a "tourist snapshot" and making it come alive with mood like only B&W can do.
Had a couple more too:
