for Driving a round trip of 190kms to photograph for the wind challenge, just got back and hope its worth it,.!!! |

Only 190 kms? You must be kidding right? *smile*
I traveled about 6400 miles roundtrip for this one.

This was today, I gracefully accept Defeat and the humiliation with it, How did you travel? Concorde, or the Mother in laws Broomstick!!!!!

Well, I probably don't have the record but I drove close to 600 km round trip in one day to specifically capture this shot:
So I have you beat.

If I drove 190 KM I would be most of the way back home again.
You just can't drive very far here. |

I have you beat with a total of 230.5 miles (371 km) round-trip for my Heroes entry.

I didn't have far to go for my wind picture..just to the bathroom..Here I sit broken hearted..tried to poop but only farted..(:

Seriously..have a good concept for the wind shot entry now I just have to get away from my cpu to do it..

That doesn't count, unless the primary purpose of the trip was to get a photo for a specific challenge.

While I haven't travelled far to take any of my photos for any challenges, at least two were taken with my squirming 14 month old daughter in a baby carrier strapped to my chest ("Please stop kicking Daddy in the abdomen dear so we can get this shot and both go home. Ouch, that wasn't my abdomen.")
I don't know if that makes me the winner ... or the loser. Alas, the things we do for love.

prior to being on this site, i did 900-1000 km photo/bohemian escape journeys.

i travelled at 200km/h to create enough wind to take a picture of.
then i got a ticket which cost me $200. i'll have to sell the photo at a premium price to make up for that ;}
