I just found this pic while going through my archives. It was taken this past summer at the Bristol Renaissance Faire with my old Fuji s7000. That camers had the worst shutter lag but produced some amazing color. Other than cropping, this picture is straight out of the camera. I think I got pretty lucky on this shot. What so you think?

Very nice shot. Great color and lighting is good. And yes, with shutter lag, you did great -perfect timing.

Great timing.
It's not only the camera but timing comes into play. Your chances are improved with a dSLR. Good luck and happy shooting.

Lupe,
Thank you and you are welcome. When I looked at your picture I clicked on your profile and I seen where you have not entered any challenge and wondered WHY? You have what it takes. Jump in and enter, you may win the next Blue.

Faidoi,
Thanks for taking the time to look at my picture. So far I am loving my D70. I love the "instant on" and no shutter lag. And BTW "Blue" was one of the first pics I seen after I found this site. Great shot. I always wondered how you did that. |

Cool. Thanks. Desat everything except blue and cyan. Notice by buddies jeans the blue is still there. The rail is painted blue/cyan. This is totally basic challenge legal and Not basic challenge legal version.

Faidoi,
How do you select the colors not to desat? |

Check tuturial
In Photoshop you can click on :Image>Adjustments>Hue Saturation>Color>Move
saturation bar toward the left. OK for basic challenge.
I believe at least 4 more different ways that are only advanced challenge legal.
