Hello. I'm very new to digital photography. My camera takes fantastic photos, but I lack the skills to edit/resize them for the challenge. I'm wondering if there is any decent free software on the net that I can use to edit and resize my photos. Also, the other question I had is how do you resize your pictures without them looking over-pixalized?
Thanks for the advice

Irfanview resizes quite well and it's free. I use Photoshop to edit and Irfanview to resize after editing. There is a free editing program that has been mentioned in other threads. Gimp is the name //www.gimp.org/

I use PaintshopPro for most of my editing and resizing. There is a beta version currently available online for free.

Gimp works very well. It takes a little getting used to, but it can do most of the basic stuff you'd need and a little extra. I've also used Irfanview, and it's a LOT simpler to use than Gimp, but it's nowhere near as powerfull. The one thing I haven't been able to figure out with Irfanview is how to crop images.
If you're not afraid of playing around with Gimp to figure out how the different functions work, I'd go with that and not even bother downloading anything else. |

I got a free Limited version of PS with my Nikon 4500 called PS Elements. I personnaly use the full PS version but I've heard from other DPC members that it works well.
