Does anyone have suggestions on how much to sell the rights to a
photograph for. I am going to be taking pictures for a minor league
baseball team and I assume either they or the PR firm will want to buy
the rights to the photographs. This is all new to me so please help if
you have a knowledge of this topic!

| I just got the book called Photographers Market. It is pretty cool and tells different prices, places and how to sell your photography. If it is a small league I don't think I'd charge too much, but then you also don't want to charge to little. |

There quite a few books out there that will help you. Two by Rohn Engh (Sellphotos.com & Selling Photos (i think)) that are very good and give you some basic knowledge into it. Michal Heron's Pricing Photography, also (have not read that one). It also depends on if you are going to shoot this as an assignment or per photo.
There is a program out there called fotoquote also. I think it is rather expensive. //www.fotoquote.com/
Another software program that can help you out alot is called Photobyte. It helps price assignments, and just about anything you can think of. It is in shareware, and they ask you to send them what you think it is worth, when you like. I have seen some old websites where it was $1200!! There is a big ol' book that goes with it called Focus on Profit (I got the book and the software came with at Borders). All that info and the download are here. //zimberoff.com/
