Hi guys and gals
Im urgently in need of a web site showing my portfolio for a meeting i have pretty soon, the deadline is really short and money is a bit tight, we do have some to offer but we need a designer who can help as soon as poss

Man, you sure are pushing Time. A website by the weekend, it takes a couple days for the hosting company to get situated. Create a nice looking portfolio. With tight money. I say good luck to you sir. My best advice is piggybacking off someone elses site or having your photo's printed. Just being honest.

Php-Fusion is a pre-built (and free) engine that can do it. Just install it, choose a theme and create your logo. Later, you can tweak the look and feel or create extra sideboxes.
I built this site in a few hours for a client that needed it asap.
And once it's built, you can manage the content, pages, FAQ, Newsletter, links, downloads, comments, guestbook and photo galleries on your own via the built-in Administrator section (complete with HTML area similar to Word).
You need a webhost with PHP/MySQL to use it. It's only a 1-2mb upload, too.
