My camera, a Pentax *ist D DSLR, is capable of making multiple exposures on a single "frame" (i.e. mutliple exposures on a single RAW .pef file). This is not the same as image stacking where I would shoot several frames and then combine them in PS because it comes out of the camera as a single file.
Would this be allowed under the "Basic" editing rules? My instinct is "yes" because there is no post-exposure manipulation required to creating the effect; it's all done in-camera.
Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.
TIA

To quote the Basic Challenge rules
Any modification done inside the digital camera itself is considered acceptable for challenge submission.
So, anything done within the camera is OK
Hope that helps, good luck! |

I agree with Moose101, by strict intrepretation of the rules, it seems that you can submit a photograph that is a result of 2+ exposures processed inside your camera.
There are a lot of effects which you can perform with much greater ease as a result, a definite advantage over the rest of us. That's a nice feature!
EDIT
If I remember correctly, there was a shot submitted to the "Authority" challenge which by conventional means is impossible (close-up of a red-eye woman superimposed against a wide angle shot of a building). I just did a double check and it seems that photograph is no longer in the running. Perhaps it was dq'ed. Either it was a post-processed double exposure or it could have been taken with the Pentax...
