This is a great way to put it. I have never considered a square crop in my photography until this challenge. I'm definitely learning something here. Thanks so much for this challenge. :) |

I have yet to see whether my assumption about Barbara's Lila collage is correct, but seeing it made me think of one I did a couple of years back. My daughter-in-law is a passionate baker and follows the Great British Bake Off religiously - so religiously, in fact, that she actually makes all the technical challenges each season (usually on the weekend following the airing of the episode). She posts both progress and product photos on social media along with her own commentary about the particular baking experience. So one year I decided to make her a Christmas gift based on this passion. Since I only had access to screenshots of her FB posts and many were ridiculously small, I decided to make a collage and order it as a jigsaw puzzle using both her GBBO projects and her other baking/cooking projects from the entire year.
The next year she asked me if I would make her a large shopping tote (she lives in California) based only on her creations from the previous season's GBBO. That time she sent me the highest resolution pics she had and I edited, cleaned up, assembled, and came up with this. It's square, so I thought it kind of fit this side challenge.

I haven't been participating unfortunately, but I did one Square Crop today. I'll try to visit here more. The weather got me pretty depressed here, but I'm coming back! :-) I haven't been commenting here either, but I am really enjoying this side challenge! Thanks everyone!

I've also been kinda out of it, but you made me remember I did have a square photo taken for non-DPC purposes a few days ago.

A companion piece (sort of) to the one I posted before this.
