I really don't understand the 2nd and 3rd place winners. I mean, they are OK photos, but I feel there were so many other photos in the challenge that were much better. 3rd place tractor was better than 2nd though. Now, I know there's a lot of egos here (after reading some of the forums) and I'm new here and this is my opinion, so be kind. :-) |

I´m like you, I don´t like the 2nd and 3rd traktor pictures. But this is what people thought and we have to live with that. But any way Welcome bjordan. |

Count me in as well. 1st place was an excellent choice. 2nd and 3rd, eh.... |

Ironically, I think the 2nd was better than the 3rd, but they were all good. There was something about the sky that caught my eye. Also, the fact that it was in color - shows all the textures.
But everyone has their opinion and is entitled to it.

That's the beauty of this site... 325 voters rather than a panel of judges. Art is, of course, in the eye of the beholder and these kinds of threads prove that without a doubt.
So, what do you think were the most under-rated photos this week?

You know what? it is hard enough to eeek out a score above 5 on here so when someone gets 2nd or 3rd I think that is awesome! I say way to go to those photographers and keep up the good work. let's not start bashing who wins ribbons on here Sheeesh Oh PETE!!!

My list of underrated photos: 1)#114 transition 2) #85 old hotel room 30 #29 this old house
I think the winners were great. First place is very deserving. It totally blew me away to the point that I couldn't believe it was a real place and not a painting. |

I'm just gonna take my tractor parts and go play somewhere else ; ) You guys crack me up. This site just wouldn't be the same without the forums to complain, er, I mean to discuss things in. It's pretty funny, in another forum someone asked what people thought about the photos. I could have sworn we just did that with our votes. Maybe that person thought that there were too many people that voted and that, somehow, makes people's opinions less accurate. I just thought that was funny. It's all in fun.

Underated photos?
Well these were some of the ones I scored highly:
Only gave one photo a score of 10 (and I think even the respectable nine was not high enough!): 9 All the marbles
Gave 9 points to the following: 7 Violin 12 78 rpm 62 Still Frisky 83 Abandoned (I also ADORED this one and it was hovering really close to getting a 10) 121 Untitled 67 Dinky Cars
Some of those which got 7s and 8s: 92 Shadows of time 126 Drowning Dignity 75 Religion 3 Finished 14 Centenarian 64 Things of Granda

I am glad the castle won the contest, but I liked the 2nd place tractor better.I knew the artistic people would vote for the castle but I still want to see the orginial photo of the castle instead of the editing part. I think it would have been better instead of a saturated image. |

Sure, go away! I mean a photographer whose second placed photo does not even show up in his personal "highest rated photographs" certainly belongs to some higher sphere or something. Not to our little amateur playground. Leave us alone with our pain *sniff*
(Irony alert: I didn't take you seriously, so I was not serious, too.)

Maybe you will feel better knowing that my current photo is sucking. What can I say? I'm poor and I only have one new thing and it obviously doesn't appeal to anyone but me. But, watch out, I have lots of pencils ; )
