Have you ever wanted to try out flying a drone? Have you ever wanted to literally take your photography to new levels and capture things from a totally new perspective? I have a spare DJI Mavic Air drone that I have loaned out to people who were interested in trying it out. It's a great drone for beginners and experienced pilots alike, and it's capable of taking some good photos (and videos). So far, Bear_Music, vawendy, and Melethia have taken it for a spin. I'll provide you with the drone, a couple batteries, and a charger. All you need to do is bring your smartphone and a sense of adventure.

If you are interested in trying it out, I figure thats better than having it just sitting idle on my shelf. If you are relatively careful, you are unlikely to crash it. And, if you did crash it, I am unlike to worry much about it.

Exceptionally generous, Mark! If I didnt already have 2 drones of my own, Id take you up on it.

Ive been impressed by some of the locations and conditions you appear to have flown it in. Im a bit wind-shy since I nearly lost my Autel Evo over downtown.

He had me hooked in less than 24 hours after I got his drone in the mail :-) Be careful what you wish for...

I love my drone... Never had any interest until I sat shooting a lighthouse at sunrise...A guy next to me flew his drone out and shot the sunrise framed through the glass of the lighthouse...so magical and beautiful. Bought mine the next week.

It never ceases to amaze me how annoying other people's drones sound and how nice and soothing is the sound of your own...

I'm too far away to take you up on your offer but I'd love to try out a drone. Trouble is I'm worried about the laws regarding drone use.

Its getting tougher in the US as well. Between drone prohibited locations, high winds and the upcoming remote ID laws, it seems to be getting harder to find interesting things to photograph with one. (Unless you are Mark.)

EVERYTHING is interesting from a drone. It's like the opposite of a macro lens :-) I don't see remote ID as being an issue, but that's easy for me to say since my drone is compliant already. Anyway, the implementation of the law has been pushed back indefinitely. Winds have only once been much of an issue for me, when my first drone (the Mavic Air 2) popped above a protected parking lot and got caught in a gale :-) I had to tack back upwind to where I was and land it. The bigger one I have now, the Mavic 3, is incredibly stable in a breeze...

So, no one in this hemisphere is interested? Not sure how hard it might be to ship to South Africa...

USPS First Class International $25.65
USPS Priority Mail International $56.76
USPS Priority Mail Express International $74.66
UPS Worldwide Expedited $40.06

Being "interested" and having time and other wherewithall to actually take proper advantage of the offer are different things. :-(

"Maybe next year" ... ;-)

But please prioritize anyone else.

Here's my experience almost losing my Autel Evo over downtown. Dropped altitude and turned crosswind, then crashed upwards into a bridge. Expensive lesson!

I am selling both of my drones, unfortunately once I got my Swiss drone pilot license I cannot say that I did not know that I could not fly there so the places where I can fly are mostly boring so I don't fly any more.

Maybe send your drone to Ukraine or Palestine, maybe they could make use of it in some way?
