This is probably a stupid question but is there a place that explains the duties of the captain of a team? And time commitment? And generally things one ought to know?

almost nothing official. the team is managed by you, but that basically just means inviting members. the DPL basically runs itself. sit back and enjoy the glory of being captain.

The Hit Squad, former champions, are regrouping. Our new captain will be announcing
our new name and returning players, shortly.

We implemented a change allowing any member of a legacy team to resurrect it and become its captain. Let us know if this indeed works.

How can I get removed from the free agent pool. I need to have knee surgery in the next few weeks and I don't think I will be about to any photography.

How exciting - there are 12 teams already created/finalized. If you are in the agent pool - I think there are enough in there to start a team to make 13 if someone wanted to captain it.

Just don't accept an invite if you receive one. Best of luck with the surgery.

Click on the left on
Free Agent Registration, the screen will give you a link to opt out. I just tested it, it works.

Looks like 12 Teams is going to be the cutoff at this point. If you (Team Captains) have any spots left I'd suggest filling those spots with the handful of FA's left in the pool! Good luck.

If any of the 12 teams needs a backup I just joined the free agent pool. Feel free to send me an invite. I wasn't sure about joining because I can't promise full participation. But, it sounds fun and would encourage me to go out and shoot a little more which is always great.

I was a part of season 1 which was a lot of years ago!

Silly question: Is the 15th the date for voting to start on the first DPL challenge, or is that that the date the first challenge will be announced and open for submission?

The latter, first challenge opens for submissions.

Looks like a flaw in the system. The ability to create a new team was supposed to be disabled. The format for creating team play requires an even number and the cutoff is 12 for DPL5.

So ... I wouldn't all jump on board with the 13th team. Sorry. :-(

Yeah. It stinks. The next even number that could work is 16 teams, and with only a few days left we didn't see that happening realistically.

Is it worth putting out an emergency email. If they get 5 people per team, it might be possible to get 15 more people that were on the fence...?

The flip side of that is what happens if we DO get enough people to fill a couple more teams, but fall short by a dozen players or so to fill out two more teams? Teams 13 & 14 have to fold up? Tell people they can't play? I'd almost rather have the pain now, then have more pain (more people to say no to) later.
