I just got a Canon Pixma printer and I just wanted to say that if anyone is in the market for a printer, buy this one. It's amazing. I paid $130 for it, and it prints photos just as good as the lab I was using. |

I've heard it's great for a $130 printer, but no match for a Canon 9900 or Epson R800. The Pixma uses only 5 colors. |

I'm not sure what those mean. Where would I find that info? As for being no match for the 9900, I think its 1/4 of the price, so yeah, obviously you get what you pay for, but if you can't afford to drop $400 on a printer like me, I would say Pixma all the way. |

A4 = 8 1/2 x 11
A3 = 11 x 17
What's the largest size paper that is printable? Since every nation uses metric system except the U.S., it's easier to say A4 or A3 instead of the #'s. Inches don't mean anything to everybody else :P

My printer is Canon iP (stupid)1800 and everything prints like sick (yellow) I crank up the blue and red to make it close to normal print. I virtually tried everything except throwing this damn thing out of the window.
Anyone has any experiences stuff like this with same or similar problems, what can I do before I open my window here... I have HAD IT :(
*I think I NEVER gonna by CANON(Stupid) printer again* |

Given I'm looking for an inexpensive photo printer I might go for this one. I'd love an A3 printer but the wife says I should pay some bills instead :( |

I have an Canon iP6700D and saw it for $129 CDN recently. For a printer that can only print as big as letter size is does do a good job.

Check my portfolio and about everything comes out yellow in general. Like the face color, lights... Something in calibration wrong, but in printer or something. Yes it is a very cheap printer. But it goes by the name of "Fine" photo printer. It has millions of adjustments; I tried about million of them, and default of course. I am going to get myself an HP soon, around 400 dollars with 8 cartridges... that should do better job. This I can use for letters :( |

Remember, just like your monitor, the printer needs a profile. For the printer it's even more complicated as you need a different profile for each type of paper/ink combination you use. If your monitor isn't calibrated then all bets are off. It's like a crap shoot to get the print looking somewhat like the monitor image in that case. Mind you, it will never be exact due to the nature of monitors and printers. |

As it happens, I just picked up a Pixus printer catalogue from a photo store. It seems that any printer in the iP range is A4. The iP4000 is not listed - it must have been superseded by the iP4500, which is new.
The iX5000 and Pro9000 & Pro9500 are A3 size printers.
