With a tie for the Blue shouldn’t Tiberius get the Red and Ytshuva get the Yellow?
Just looked through the archives and I see it has happened with ribbons in the past. Just seems like a tie for a ribbon shouldn’t delete the following ribbon.

| But there are still 2 images before Tibi. So he is 3rd. Nothing wrong with the order. |

I haven't participated in a while... what's the deal with all the removed images?
I know that it used to be based on failed validation, but only the first few are typically asked for originals. I've noticed a bunch missing from the results :(
Is this a new thing? I enjoy going over all results to see how different images placed.

Nope, it's how a tie is indicated. Always has been. |

This is how it's always been done as far as I can remember.
The first two place first and the third gets third... and then we go on from there.

Or to view it another way, if we had a 5-way tie for first we'd have 5 Blue Ribbons and there'd be no "top-5" stars at all :-)
BTW, in an interesting side note, I think I'm solely responsible for the tie. Why? Because a few minutes before rollover I was adjusting my scores given (as I often do), and I bumped the Apple from 9 to 10 and the Sunflower from 7 to 9 :-)

Thanks all!
I guess it has been like this forever. The new thing is, we used to get 200-300 votes per challenge back then. These days we get 40ish votes, so chances of getting exact score are statistically higher, hence a lot of 'removed images' in the results.
Makes sense now. |
