With my disappointing score for my COMMUNICATION entry-
I wonder if I would have done better with one of these versions

Hi Spydr, I think the last image here would have done better. Its got more emotion about it and offers more of a "story". Personally I would have cropped it a lot tighter around the face and the tin can to really push the expression. Also the colour in the shot is a bit yellow. I don't know if this was a sunset or a white balance issue. I think a bit of curves adjustment or levels would do wonders for this image.
By the way I thought your "Beetle" image was going to win the communication challenge. I think that shot is great. |

| I, too, like the last pic. Agree with the color cast issue, too. |

The last one is the strongest compositionally, but it is a bit flat. Also, the expression does not have an obvious source so it looks out of place.
