If your a fan of Steven R. Donaldsons epic fantasy trilogys: The First Chronicles Of Thomas Covenant, The Unbeliever, and The Second Chronicles Of Thomas Covenant, (all best sellers) then I have some great news for you!
I was browsing the book store today and came across a brand new hardback book. It's called: The Third Chronicles of Thomas Covenant: The Runes of the Earth
What an unexpected suprise! I read the first 2 trilogys back in the early 80's when I was in high school. They are eccentially the books that made me fall in love with reading... I had no idea he would ever write about these characters again... so whether your an old Donaldson fan, a fantasy fan, or just a good book fan, go out and get it! I know it will be great!

That's great news. I loved those books as well when I first read them, and also upon rereading them years later (one of the few sets that I have reread).
A nod to his 'Mordant's Need' books as also being well worth the page turning.

Thx for the update. Yet another in the long list of titles I'll need to catch up on!
Of course, I'll have to wade through all the self-loathing in the first two chronicles again just to recall where he left off.
Hmm. I wonder what Peter Jackson has in mind for his next project... |

OMG! Gotta dig out the books again! And some say that Tolkien was long winded. That's what I LOVED about Lord of the Ring AND The Unbeliever series'...

Also, if you have not read his "Gap" series that begins with "The Real Story", you have to read it. It's amazing, riviting, and quite memorable...

For those unfamiliar with the trilogies, the fantasies are purported to be the deliriums of a victim of Hansen's Disease (Leprosy).
The stories are richly detailed and have a constant theme of adventure mingled with romantic intrigue. Great reading! |

He wrote another awesome series that I can not recall the title of, the opening book is called 'A Mirror of Her Dreams'. Very cool story line!

The First Chronicles Of Thomas Covenant, The Unbeliever. The best fantasy series out there in my opinion. And where my username comes from |
