Ok, this was purchased on ebay 'on a whim' I honestly don't know what it is worth????? but paid £65 for it with the 'T mount' to make it compatable with the 300D.
It arrived tonight and as it was dark I could not take it outside so stood in the corner of the room and took a couple of snaps (macro kicks in @ 8 foot). The pic below is handheld and considering the size of the subject (<1cm) and the light I don't think it turned out too bad, The adult Mbuna in the cave is a beat up uncle.
Does anybody else have this lens? tips, tricks for good shots from it (other than use a tripod). Can't wait for daylight and some free time :)

Hi Andi, I've never heard about this lens, so I looked at B&H and Yahoo without success, so i would like to see more information and samples if you can.
Thanks

Ramon, I had never heard of it either but think it is a cheaper American lens?. Its f8 so I guess I need some decent light to use it, manual focus only (fish tanks are not its intended subject).
I love my 70-200 f/4L but hope I can get some decent long shots with this 35mm equivalent 800mm lens.

Andi,
An interesting thing with Mirrored lenses is the out of focus highlights, they appear as rings not circles (like a normal lens).
Not the best examples but all I can find at the moment:
