ug...i misread the challenge and submitted a photo that doesnt meet it, unless the mode of communication is in cartoon bubbles. is there a way you can withdraw, or disqualify your own photo?

lol, prepare for your week of shame.

One good thing, you'll read and reread the challenge in future.

I am surprised that you can't withdraw a photo that is in his mind not correct. If someone entered a photo for a challenge and it was open and only basic editing, and advanced editing was used, would they not be able to pull it or would they have to run through the voting process. If that were the case and he scored high or won he would be serverly egged by everyone even DQ yet he wanted to remove it. Also he might be watched even more the next time even though it was an honest mistake, and he wanted to correct it.I don't believe submitting another photo in it's place should be allowed, but removing it which is fixing a mistake, should be permitted. But what do I know, I watch and try to learn from all of you, more than I do ever submitting to challenges. I have learned many tricks by reading these forums and all of you have been very helpful. This topic just seemed like an obvious answer to me that's all, guess not. You better not win with that pic LOL

If you did your cartoon bubbles in the computer, then you should be able to request your photo be DQed, since that kind of editing wouldn't be allowed under the editing rules. If you don't, someone will. :)

I'm pretty sure I've got the brown ribbon all locked up. I'm nearly at a 3.5.

Don't think you can request a DQ on your own entry.

If you violated the rules you can ask for an admin note and the result would be a DQ. 'Not meeting the challenge' is not a reason for DQ.

I assume you can go to your own picture, and request your own dq...but that would only be granted if you actually broke the rules...

Maybe it would get DQ'd if you didn't provide the SC with proof of your own photo within 48 hours?

Per this thread

"Gaming" the system by requesting a DQ and not responding for the purpose of removing your photo from the challenge is against the rules and could result in a suspension.
