There is nothing really wrong with this shot. Would it do good in a challenge? No.

great color, composition and exposure. if the sign said something else, it would have more impact... can you repaint that sign?

Okay picture. Agree with Sonifo that it probably would not do good in a challenge.

I like it... But you need to make it level. The bridge is leaning to the right. Tweak the sign so that it's pure white. Don't listen to the comments about it wouldn't do good in challenge... In a bridge challenge or "Road Signs" challenge it would do good (or good enough). It depends on the challenge.

Hey, WOW< thinks everyone. The more you guys help the better. I am really trying now. A couple of weks ago it would have been a picture of just the bridge, in the middle of the picture. I think this is an improvment from my normal shooting habits.

I agree about the road signs challenge...I would give it a 6, but a bridge...maybe a 5 tops. The sign is a major distraction for the bridge challenge. Got back and look at the top 40 pictures for that challenge. Bridges

I actually like this as is. I like the contrast of the sign against the blue/blue-green background. It has it's own unique character. I would have probably rated it well in a sign challenge, but that's not important; I think it's a keeper.

basicly what i am trying to do is break out of the rutt of snap shots. This i think is a little more than a snapshot. I am trying different angles and adding things to the photos i take. As for anything being distracting in the picture, i guess you can think either or is distracting. (bridge/sign) the photo was ment to have both objects in there. I dont know, it just seemed right at the time.
