I was wondering if anyone has bought anything from //www.focuscamera.com . I usually get my gear at B&H, but this time B&H doesn't have what I need, and FocusCamera does. Has anyone made any purchases from there? Is it trustworthy and reliable?

I think I may have ordered a battery from them. It's the weirdest thing. When I saw your post, Focus Camera sounded familiar to me, so I checked to see who I recently bought things from. I recently bought my camera and all accessories, so it's all still recent to look up. I looked at my emails and there was one from focuscamera.com saying they had shipped my item. They never specified what the item was, so I looked at all of my billing slips, and there was nothing from Focus Camera. I was baffled and bewildered, because everything I had slips for (from other companies) was accounted for, and I couldn't think of anything else I had ordered. Well, to make a long story shorter, I think Focus Camera and Digital Foto Club are the same company. My order confirmation came from digitalfotoclub.com, but my shipping notification came from focuscamera.com (although they never said what they were shipping.) And their physical addresses and phone #'s are too close to be separate companies.

Anyway, if they are the same company, I ordered a battery from them, and it was the cheapest by far (not a third party battery either, a canon). I received it in good time, and it is in my camera right now and working. So I guess they are alright.

If anyone can verify that they are the same company that would be cool, b/c I thought I was losing my mind for a second.

You're exactly right. Before visiting Focus Camera, I had visited Digital Foto Club, and I noticed they were just about identical websites. This is why I'm kind of skeptical, but they may just be partners of some sort, and I have heard from a few people who have said that Focus Camera is a good store. Anyone else have any experience with these stores?

I am a long time customer of Focus Camera for over 10 years. At one point, they were located on Church Avenue and now their store is on McDonald Avenue. At times their walk in store gets a bit crowded, I have always received courteous and professional service. I've never ordered online but I do use the www.focuscamera.com website to pre-shop before visiting the store.

Always have a look at resellerratings.com before you order :) It looks like they have very mixed reviews but certainly aren't as bad as many.

I would be extremely cautious about dealing with ANY Brooklyn camera store
