Hello everyone,

I recently had a client want to purchase a file off of me. He lives pretty far away from me but wants the image sent to him through the internet so he can print it off after we do a money transfer. how can I send him the image... when I send images through email it seems to compress them and destroy the look of the image..... if I do that and he prints it will it print the photo how it actually should be or will it print it compressed and looking like crap?

Should I go about sending the file in a different way than email? if so... any suggestions?

Should be fine to just zip it up and send it.

If your email set up does not permit large files you can use a service like wetransfer.com to send up to 2GB free.

Another alternative is to share it using DropBox or Google Drive or similar.

When sending via email be sure to add it as an attachment and not by inserting the image into the body of the email.

The pros will probably have better advice.

Try uploading it to Dropbox, then send the client a link to that file. If you don't have a Dropbox account, you can create one free of charge. The following should be a referral link: https://db.tt/hTcJRLKw

Another option is emaillargefiles.com
Their free service is for one file only - which would be fine for you in this case - but I've sent quite a number of large files zipped into a single large file successfully many times. Been using this for years.

any service, google drive, skydrive, dropbox, all free for limited storage options and all work great. Im particularly fond of skydrive, or One drive as i think its called now.
