Since I am new to this digital photo stuff, I have a question.

The file size is not supposed to be over 150k. When I was playing
with the contrast, brightness, hue, settings etc. (for the smoke challange), the file size would sometimes double or worse.

What is the way to edit and not have the file grow? I don't have Photoshop, just the basic editing package that came with the Nikon
4300 camera.

Thanks
