Please welcome Steve  blueoceancruiser from Texas. We're colleagues on a research project, and I've known for a while that he enjoys photography when he has the time, so I encouraged him to jump in the pool at DPC.
He plunged right in with an entry in dead foliage and another in Cory's editing side challenge, and I'm encouraging him to dig up his best shot of 2013. Please add your welcome and encouragement to mine and Bear's bear_music. Thanks.

I'm sure he will as soon as he knows about the thread. It's a very busy time for him at work at the moment and he may be traveling.
ETA: It's my bad... I didn't get to starting this thread until several days after I gave him the heads up that I was planning to do it, so it's possible I chose a bad time. I hope a second hand "Hi" and "Thanks" will suffice for the time being :-)

Hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcome. Apologies for the slow reply. Photography is just a hobby for me, but a passionate one. The rest of the time, I'm helping clients test new drugs and medical devices. With the new year, all my clients seemingly want to get their clinical trials launched at the same time!
I'm very impressed by the caliber of submissions on this site and very honored to be here with all you talented photographers. I'm sure I will learn a lot!
